Terms of Service: Ask Digby
Last updated: 28 July 2026
Ask Digby is operated by Nadine Friday, trading as Ask Digby ("we", "Digby"). Contact: hello@askdigby.io. By using Ask Digby you agree to these terms. They're short and written to be understood.
1. What Ask Digby is
Ask Digby is a job-search service. Digby checks job listings are real and still open, matches live roles to your CV and stated direction, and helps you prepare applications. You must be at least 16 to use it.
2. What Ask Digby is not
We are not a recruitment or employment agency. We have no relationship with the employers whose listings appear; we do not introduce you to them, and we never submit anything on your behalf. Every application is made by you, at the employer's own application page.
3. Your account and your CV
You need an account (email sign-in) to use the matching service. The CV and answers you provide must be yours and truthful. Digby's promise that "nothing in here is invented" depends on what you give him being real. You're responsible for what you submit to employers.
4. What you pay
Ask Digby costs £36. You pay once, by card through Stripe, and your access does not expire. There is no recurring charge and nothing to cancel. If you step away for a while, I pause the daily digs until you next sign in. Everything else keeps working, and the digs restart the moment you're back. If your daily digs stop arriving, or you have any question about your payment, email hello@askdigby.io and I will sort it within 1 working day. Prices may change for new customers. A change never affects what you have already paid for.
If Ask Digby is not right for you, tell me within 14 days of paying and I will refund you in full, no questions asked. Refunds go back to the card you paid with, within 14 days of you asking.
5. Application packs are drafts
When Digby prepares an application pack (a tailored CV, cover letter, and prepared answers), it is an AI-generated draft built only from your CV and the listing. You review it, you edit it, and you send it. Digby never applies for you, and you are responsible for anything you submit.
6. Verdicts are honest readings, not guarantees
Digby's checks and verdicts ("live", "every sign says ghost listing", "couldn't reach it at source") are honest readings of the evidence available at the time of checking. Listings can change or close at any moment after a check. A verdict about a listing is never a statement about an employer's intent, and we make no promise that any listing leads to an interview, an offer, or a job. What we promise is the honest work: real checks, real evidence, plainly stated.
7. Fair use
Don't abuse the service: no scraping, no automated bulk use of the free checker or the digs, no attempting to access other people's data, no using Ask Digby for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.
8. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited. Beyond that: Ask Digby is provided with reasonable skill and care, but we're not liable for decisions you make in your job search, for the content or conduct of employers or their listings, or for losses that don't foreseeably result from our breaking these terms. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Ending things
You can delete your account entirely at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We can end or suspend the service for breach of these terms. We could also withdraw the service entirely, with as much notice as we reasonably could give. If that ever happened, anyone who had paid within the previous 12 months would be refunded in full.
10. Changes and law
We may update these terms; material changes will be emailed to everyone with an account before they take effect. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes belong to its courts (nothing removes protections you have as a consumer where you live in the UK).
